What Remains...

Shambo One Mark D Hulett One Shambo 2025 Shambo ~ Mark D. Hulett is a writer and contemplative voice from South Georgia whose life has been inspired by over 20 consecutive years of recovery from active addiction, a lifelong quiet awareness of life’s deeper layers, and a profound recurring realization of the Self since 2005. His works are not a product, or path — but a free offering born of direct experience.

Mark writes intuitively and spontaneously, sharing what remains after illusion falls away: the stillness beneath thought, the love that doesn’t leave, and the truth no one can give or take. Through his website, spoken-word recordings, and nature videography, he fosters space for others to remember the deeper truth that has always been within them.

He is deeply influenced by the teachings of Christ, Ramana Maharshi, Nisargadatta Maharaj, and Dr. Wayne Dyer, though his work stands outside any formal tradition. Each reflection — whether poetic or plain — arises from lived inquiry and direct experience, not belief.

The name “Shambo” was given to him in 2005 during a period of deep inner transformation and study of Nisargadatta Maharaj’s works. In Vedic understanding, “Shambo” (Śambhu) refers to the most compassionate and peaceful expression of the Supreme — the dissolver of illusion through stillness and grace. For Mark, it is not a name or title, but a sacred recognition — a living reminder of what was eternally birthed when identification with the former personal self dissolved.

He does not sell anything, nor does he ask for donations. All of his work — from writings to videos — is self-funded through his digital agency, Georgia Web Development, which he founded in 2009. That agency exists not only to serve others professionally, but to foster space and support the freedom from which his deeper work flows.

“What is left of me is continually merging into this love. I am That.
Mortals cannot enter here. Even I am checked at the door.”
— To Be in Love with Love Itself ~ Shambo
