Love, The Power Reserved for the Brave
~ Written December 16, 2024. Reflections on the transformative strength found in vulnerability and the courage to embrace authentic love.
Our culture… and perhaps even more so our past hurts… have erroneously taught us that vulnerability is weakness, when in fact it’s anything but. It’s our greatest strength actually. Sure, it’s not appropriate to bare our soul to all, and for most deep, revealing disclosures, there’s a time and season… a moment… a knowing where grace says, “Speak it.”
So what if the power of pure, authentic love was so mighty… so unassailable… that it could only be accessed when we’re in a state of complete seeming vulnerability? Complete openness. Complete surrender.
This would ensure that its immense power is reserved only for the brave heart… only for those whose courage is fueled by nothing other than love itself and has left selfishness out of the equation entirely.
