Guided Still
~ Written February 3, 2026. Poetic Prose on remembrance, guidance, and enduring love… reflecting on elders who live on within us and new family found along the way.
I still miss my elders dearly at times. Mother, Father, Grandmother, Grandfather, and many others too. All gone from this earth plane and no more within my arm’s reach. Their wisdom, their love, their natural, innate ability to ground, guide, and love me now present no more on this earth.
Yet each lives on within me, as strange as that may sound. I can still hear their words in opportune times of receptivity as clearly as they spoke them to me for the first time.
All gone. Yet God, being love itself, would not leave me without companionship and guidance. For in a few rare friends, He still reminds me that I have family I once knew not of.
