Inner Happiness and Self Acceptance
~ Written August 10, 2025. Reflections on choosing oneself, embracing the journey of healing, and living in the freedom of self-acceptance.
A good measure of one’s inner happiness and self-acceptance is that if you could pick any person on earth to be… you’d still pick yourself.
None of us are perfect, but many of us have spent years healing the parts of ourselves that needed tending. At some point, either knowingly or unknowingly, we initiated the dance of divine cosmic wholeness… and that’s a dance that God always obliges, provided that we have become earnest seekers of truth and freedom itself.
We would choose ourselves to be because we’ve recognized the great reality… that it is ourselves alone who are on this earthly journey, and that we must take full responsibility for owning not only our glory but our wounds as well. We’ve peered into every dark cranny of our psyche and, with God’s grace, courageously braved all of its discarded parts.
With graceful discrimination, it becomes known what within is ours to heal and also what parts of healing belong to others. For we are not asked to heal the transgressions of others, but merely to let them go. In doing so, we are freed.
Today again, I chose myself.
