Quiet Reflections on Healing & Inner Truth

It’s not so much that we don’t have the answers to our own life’s mysteries, challenges, pangs, and lessons; it’s that we’re not deeply engaged in our own inner truth-seeking.

Love Beyond Its Object

~ Written May 18, 2026. Reflections on love itself, beyond form, attachment, and the object through which it is expressed.

When we think of love, particularly romantic love, we tend to think of its object, the other person. Their physical form. Their personality. All the “things” we love about them and how they might make us feel.

This view is not wrong, but to think of love only in this way has many limitations and actually prevents us from experiencing the full depth, power, and truth of love itself. We have then confused love with its object of expression.

Love itself is a living thing. A beautiful enigma capable of magnanimous feats, blessings, and even miracles. There is no higher feeling or vibration known to man than pure love unbridled. The world itself was created in love. The garden itself created in love. The first companionship created for and by love.

Love is not the other person. Love flows toward an object in its expressive state. Yet love exists independent of the object. This is why I say be IN love always. When we are truly IN love and operating in love, it will grace us with the other.
